About us
Background
Zeonda AB was formed in 1999 after Mikael
Nutsos had noticed the problems with legionella during his
tenure as Technical Director of Huddinge Hospital and had
developed and patented a method of avoiding legionella bacteria
in water systems. In recent years Mikael Nutsos has worked
on technical matters in Locum (Stockholm County Council’s
property management company), serving in the central technical
support function, where he is currently responsible for energy
matters. Locum has supported development of Zeonda’s
method. Today Zeonda is backed by active owners in addition
to the inventor Mikael Nutsos, including Scandinavian Innovation
Development AB (SIDAB), a venture capital provider.
Business concept
Zeonda’s business concept is to provide
licenses for a technical solution to avoid legionella bacteria
in water supply systems, based on the Company’s patented
method, the Zeonda™ - Circulation Method. Licences cover
the right to manufacture and sell mixers based on the Zeonda™
Circulation Method. Licensing is on a non-exclusive basis
and the idea is to sign licensing agreements with as many
mixer manufacturers as possible around the world to spread
the method as widely as possible.
Vision
Zeonda’s vision is that the Zeonda™
Circulation Method will develop into a kind of unofficial
world standard in water supply systems and that it will therefore
be used in water supply systems in all types of buildings.
